First off, I generally prefer SQL Server over Access, since it's more predictable. In my experience, a good piece of Access guruship (and I'm NOT an Access guru, just an advanced acolyte) has to do with knowing all sorts of obscure workarounds to funny behavior, version conflicts, etc.

I use VB6 also because it's what I know. Most C++ programmers who learn VB6 use it whenever they can, which is not always. ASP is for web page interfaces, so if you want your front end to be hosted by a web browser (an increasingly more popular UI standard), you'll have to use it. Unless, you decide to go into .Net....

There are lots of image editors are available in the market...My most favorite HTML editor are Dreamweaver, front page, WYSIWYG. But I am always prefer dreamweaver.
