Personally, I like PHP, but because I used it recently and I have been beating the PHP code in my head for about a month, working on random projects to get used to the language. ..

It regrettably, there is not a set timeline on when we shall get better our fleet. CPanel must incorporate it into easyapache. Bearing in mind they never integrated 5.2.10, no telling how it extended shall take 5.3.0 to be made obtainable.

PHP is very easy to learn and very influential when it comes to characteristics and functions. ASP is designed by Microsoft and is consequently better supports Microsoft SQL. PHP uses more standard syntax as well as has cheaper hosting available.

Both are equally the best. However, PHP is more preferred because it is available for free. It is ideal for easily developing Windows apps in C#.

ASP is one of the most powerful and easy to use language in web designing. It is best for creating a website with dynamic pages. PHP is basically a programming language used to create a dynamic website. The biggest advantage of PHP is that it is very search engine friendly.

It's to me more supported by Hosting Comapies than ASP. Shopping Cart in PHP made it easier to be created. PHP in mods made it easier to expand your CMS or Shopping Cart. It's faster - There are Automated PHP creator Programs out there to help small developers & ASP creator Program too.PHP have built the internet.

I personally enjoy using PHP a lot more and it optimizes so well with my hosting VPS package from myhosting.com.

PHP is very open source too so there is more flexibility and you can create more angles and coding pieces which translates into custom scripts.

My Vote is for PHP

1. PHP is not Microsoft.
2. It is OS independant
3. Good for server. Less memory occupied. Faster loading cause it is written in C

They both do the same thing, but programming them is different (from what I've seen anyway)

PHP & MySQL are both free downloads so it's easy to test your code...
Not sure about ASP though

Also, PHP can be run on Windows but most people use it on Linux - but as ASP is Microsoft, it is naturally optimized for Windows servers
