What is splitting of links?

I read in an article that one should avoid splitting of links.
Links that come from outside shall have same url as internal links of the same landing page.
What does that mean?
I am quite confused

The importance of creating the perfect link which will not allow the splitting of the link with the another link, but if a page has to many links coming from it, So it can splitting available "link juice" too much and may not be worth the trouble. This tends to happen a lot with forums, commenting on blogs, and directories.

It means that links should point to to the same URI rather than some to the index page name and others to the directory root. It is necessary to have an index page.

Hi Mate

The links splitting should be avoided as it should point to the Url only.Otherwise it leads to nonperformance of the pages in the website.

I read an article on the link to share. Link division is a link that has a topological 2-sphere into its complement one or more separate components link among others. A link is said to be divided evenly divisible, and a link that is not shared is a link called non-split or not split ..

Hi,
A split link is said to be splittable, and a link that is not split is called a non-split link or not splittable. It means that links should point to to the same URI rather than some to the index page name and others to the directory root.

Well you all of posted right information. In additional i would add A split link is a link that has a two -sphere in its complement separating one or more link components from the others. A split link is said to be splittable, and a link that is not split is called a non-split link or not splittable. Note that whether a link is split or non-split corresponds to whether the link complement is reducible or irreducible as a 3-manifold.

Splitting of links is a type of spilt test script which allows you to split test different parts of your site simultaneously like you could test five different headlines for a sales letter and simultaneously test the three sub-categories. Using these technology you would able to see the combinations of headlines and links.

Well I never knew there was such a term like splitting of links, but I've always known to keep links the same format.
